Every number this directory shows you can be explained, and this is the explanation. Every result can be traced to what you asked for, and we welcome hearing about any that surprises you.
The Match Score
Match score weighs how easy a place is to get into for you, plus price, availability and how you want to be seen. Every listing is scored on the same scale, and every result is shown in full.

A score comes from the six things in the first table: what you asked for, how far away they are, the way in, how they see people, how soon they are free and what you can pay. The same six for everybody, on every plan.
One Match Score, Everywhere on Even Keel
Health and wellbeing, fitness and coaching, and every area that opens after them use the same match score: the same six parts, with the same weights, and getting in is the largest factor in every one. Each area describes what its professionals do in its own words (a physiotherapist treats, a coach coaches) and the arithmetic stays the same, so 92% means the same thing wherever you see it.
Every Match Score Is Earned the Same Way
Scores are worked out the same way every time, by the same rule, for everybody: every plan, every badge, the owner's own practice included.
The same rule runs both ways: when a subscription lapses, that listing stays in exactly the same place. Position follows what you asked for, and only that.
Respire Physio is owned by the person who runs Even Keel, and it is listed on exactly the same terms as every other practice: the same criteria, the same scoring, the same place in search. It is said here, plainly, for you to know.
What This Directory Is For
You tell us what you are looking for, in your own words; the search matches the keywords you type to the words professionals list for their own work. The choice of care stays with you and whoever is treating you.
The same applies to access. We publish what was measured, “twenty metres to a step-free entrance”, so you can judge what suits you. That judgement is yours.
When a Professional Suggests a Colleague
Sometimes the person you asked is unable to take you on, and suggests up to three colleagues instead. Even Keel keeps that suggestion fair to you, in five ways:
- From your own search. A colleague can be suggested only when they would already be in your search: the same profession you chose, offering the way you asked to be seen (in clinic, by video or at home), within ten miles of the professional you first chose (any distance by video), and with every access need you ticked shown as met at their building.
- The fit is on show. Each suggestion shows how well it fits what you asked, from what you told us alone: distance, the way you asked to be seen, and your access needs.
- Your own next matches sit beside it. The page with the suggestions also lists your next best matches from the same search, so you can compare, and your whole search is one tap away.
- Colleagues in the same building are named as such (“works with Sam at …”).
- The pattern is watched. Even Keel looks at who suggests whom, professionals only, and follows up when someone’s suggestions keep fitting less well than a patient’s own options.
You choose whether to contact anyone, and whom. Your details go only to the person you send an enquiry to; the colleagues suggested hear from you only if you write to them.
Every Listing Confirmed Every 90 Days
Every listing is confirmed every 90 days to stay at the top. A listing waiting for its confirmation moves down the results, and after a hundred and eighty days it rests until it is checked back in. Every listing you see is kept current by the professional.
